Chiropractic Care for Neuropathy
Searching for a neuropathy chiropractor means you already suspect what we see daily: nerve symptoms in the feet and hands often trace back to how the whole nervous system is functioning. At The Roots, gentle, instrument-assisted chiropractic care is one component of a structured neuropathy program — never a generic crack-and-go visit.

Why chiropractic care belongs in neuropathy care
Your peripheral nerves don't operate in isolation — they're the far end of a system that runs through your spine. When spinal structure puts pressure on nerve roots, or when the nervous system is stuck in a stressed, guarded state, symptoms can show up far downstream: tingling in the feet, weakness in the legs, altered sensation in the hands.
That's also why some 'neuropathy' in the legs is actually radiculopathy — nerve-root irritation at the spine — or a mix of both. Distinguishing the two matters enormously for what kind of care will help, and it's part of what your evaluation and any necessary X-rays clarify.
Within the program, chiropractic care addresses the compression factor: supporting the structural environment nerves pass through, so the rest of your plan (circulation, inflammation, stimulation work) isn't fighting uphill.
Gentle, instrument-assisted — built for sensitive patients
We use Torque Release Technique (TRT), a gentle, instrument-assisted method. There's no forceful twisting or cracking — the instrument delivers a precise, light impulse exactly where the doctor intends it. For older adults and anyone anxious about traditional manual adjustments, it's a very different experience than what they pictured.
Care is always calibrated to your evaluation findings and your comfort. Nothing happens on any visit without you understanding what and why first.
- Torque Release Technique — precise, instrument-assisted, no forceful twisting
- Comfortable for older adults and sensitive patients
- Guided by your evaluation findings and any necessary X-rays
- One component of the broader program, coordinated with the rest of your plan
What to expect if you've never seen a chiropractor
First comes the evaluation — consultation, circulation assessment, 16-point sensory exam, balance test, and any necessary X-rays. The doctor reviews everything with you, explains what was found in plain English, and lays out the recommended plan before any care begins.
If chiropractic care is part of your plan, your visits are quick, gentle, and purposeful — and they're measured. The same objective testing from your baseline is repeated at progress re-exams, so you can see whether the plan is doing its job.
